Dry Hot Long Ago is my second collection of solo piano “landscapes”, both natural and landscapes of memory. The pieces mix elements of New Age, Jazz, and ethnic music, inspired by pianists like Keith Jarrett, Lyle Mays, Liz Story, and Philip Aaberg. Each piece is an improvisation based on a simple idea expounded compactly and freshly.

Beautiful, Jon! I’d love to get the album as a surprise for my hubby for C’mas, and Deanna said you’d have them at church on Sunday?
Off the Path, your last CD, is at the top of my list of favorites. I am anticipating this one will be too. Jon, your music is inspiring and enables me to escape from the demands of the day–at least momentarily. It is also perfect for preludes and postludes for church services, as it allows the listener to reflect.
